Alpha Barry

Alpha Barry began his career in the Business Technology Office at McKinsey & Company, where he spent seven years advising large enterprises on technology and IT-related topics. He subsequently held senior management positions at several successful startups in the software and consulting sectors.
In 2012, Alpha Barry joined the thyssenkrupp Group. In 2016, during a critical cyberattack carried out by professional threat actors from the Far East, he assumed responsibility for the Group’s cybersecurity. Following the successful defense against the attack, he focused on optimizing thyssenkrupp’s cybersecurity structures, processes, and systems.
In 2019, Alpha Barry co-founded secida AG together with other subject-matter experts. Since then, secida AG has been contributing to secure digital transformation in German companies and now employs more than 40 people across three locations in Germany.
Since 2021, Alpha Barry has been a member of the board of eurobits e.V. eurobits is a regional association of cybersecurity companies in North Rhine-Westphalia with more than 70 member organizations. In addition to strengthening the cybersecurity industry itself, promoting cybersecurity within the regional economy is also a key objective of eurobits e.V.
Alpha Barry studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technical University of Berlin. He lives in Düsseldorf with his wife and their three sons.
