From IT upgrade to business transformation: Rethinking WMS
The announcement of the widespread SAP WM marks the beginning of a new era for the manufacturing industry. Many companies are currently faced with the question: “Do we replicate old structures in a new system or do we use this moment to truly transform our warehouse processes?”
TMG Consultants is presenting its exclusive study “Transformation Warehouse Management System” for the first time at this year's BVL Supply Chain CX. It is based on extensive project experience and new market data and highlights the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in this period of upheaval. The analysis identifies three critical pitfalls: inefficient processes, limited market knowledge, and short-sighted architecture decisions. These threaten the ROI of many projects.
Entrepreneurial sustainability instead of IT upgrades, process optimization before system selection: In a talk with Benjamin Hölzle, Director of SCM and Logistics at TMG Consultants, Anita Würmser, managing partner at impact media projects, discusses why many projects fail in terms of return on investment and which strategic decisions determine the success of a WMS transformation in practice.
