Dr. Vincent Stamer has been a senior economist in Commerzbank’s Economics Research Department since 2024. Among other things, he is responsible for the eurozone economy and international trade. From 2019 to 2023, Stamer was employed as a researcher at the Institute for the World Economy and earned his Ph.D. in 2023 with a dissertation on foreign trade policy. He studied economics at Brown University in the United States and at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. The magazine WirtschaftsWoche profiled him as one of Germany’s ten most exciting economists under the age of 40, and he is a sought-after guest on news programs and shows such as the talk show “Markus Lanz.”
