Executive VP Global Supply Chain | Olympus

Nico has been the Head of Supply Chain Management since April 2021. He is leading Olympus global Supply Chain operation and transformation with a strong focus on increased performance, sustainable change and reaching a strategic advantage for Olympus.

 

Nico strongly believes that capable and empowered people, a change-oriented mindset and business / customer focused end-to-end integration of processes, structures, data and technology are key factors to empower supply chains roles as integrator, enabler and risk manager. Deeply experienced in all aspects of supply chain management and operations, he is leading global transformation guided by his motto: “Challenge the status quo, empower and lead diverse teams through change!”.

 

He joined Olympus in 2016 as General Manager for Olympus Surgical Technologies Europe and also led Supply Chain operation in Europe. Before joining Olympus, Nico held Director positions at HARTMANN Group, culminating in responsibility for their global supply chain network. This included supply chain strategy and structures as well as planning and execution of global product flows. Nico started his career as a Management Consultant and Project Lead for Miebach Consulting, where he headed up international projects across various industries, with a clear focus on supply chain strategy and optimization.

 

After living 4.5 years in Japan, Tokyo with his family, he relocated to Hamburg mid of 2024. Outside of his work, he loves to explore cuisine and culture and is passionate about snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking.
