Start your journey into the network with a visit to the BVL Community Hub!

Get to know the regional groups of the BVL—our strong, decentralized network in Germany and worldwide. Committed volunteers from your region will introduce themselves here and look forward to talking to you. This is an ideal opportunity to make initial contacts and get to know your local contact person.

Afterwards, you will learn more about the Young Professionals Network – the platform for young professionals and junior staff in logistics and supply chain management. Here you can exchange experiences, deepen your knowledge, and gain valuable insights for your personal development.

The Bundesvereinigung Logistik e.V. (BVL) is a non-profit association with the aim of highlighting the importance of supply chain management and logistics and actively promoting their further development. Take advantage of this opportunity to network early on – and become part of a vibrant community!

The BVL Talents List recognizes outstanding achievements by students and raises the profile of young talent in the logistics network. The aim is to specifically promote young talent and highlight its importance for the future of our industry.

Before the best from the regions are honored, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Herr from Worms University of Applied Sciences and BVL Chairperson Rhein/Neckar will describe the constant change in the world of work and the skills that will really matter in the future in his keynote speech “A never-ending story – new job profiles and skills shortages.”

Be there when the talents and leaders of tomorrow are honored – and take the opportunity to talk to them personally afterwards. Because one thing is clear: without logistics, no economy can function, and competent young professionals are crucial for a successful future.

The finalists shortlisted by the jury will get straight to the point – they will present their work in very brief pitches.

Following the pitches, they will answer questions from the jury, whose members will then select the awardee 2025.

Mirco Nowak from Chapter Eurasia welcomes a delegation from Satbaev University in Kazakhstan and introduces the topic of the Trans-Caspian Corridor – a central link between Europe and Asia.

Marat Idrissov, Director of the Kazakh Institute for Industrial Development, then speaks on the topic of “Kazakhstan – Transit Hub of Eurasia: Infrastructure, Digitalization, Partnership” and highlights Kazakhstan's importance as an interface for economic cooperation and technological development.

The regional groups are the heart of our logistics network – locally rooted, internationally networked, and supported by a high level of volunteer commitment. Throughout Germany and beyond, our regional groups organize a wide range of events on current logistics topics throughout the year.

In the first pitch, Christian König, Allgäu/Bodensee regional group, Karen Klement, Südbayern, and Till Krenzien, Rhein/Main, will come together for a panel discussion and provide insights into their work. They will report on their events, regional priorities, and practical experiences. This will highlight how the regional groups contribute to the further development of logistics processes and the promotion of professional dialogue in their regions and beyond.

The regional groups of Südbayern, Südbaden/Oberrhein, and Sachsen invite you to informal networking at the BVL Community Hub at Supply Chain CX. Instead of stiff business clichés, you can expect friendly dialects, regional diversity, and genuine conversations with a wink. Just drop by, meet people, and experience how logistics connects not only supply chains but also people.

Jan Brachmann presents the Chapter Poland and its diverse events with a focus on FutureLog. Prof. Wojciech Paprocki explores the topic in greater depth in his presentation “The development of road freight transport in Europe and the resulting supply chain problems.”

Under the motto “Broadly positioned and still top-notch!”, Sebastian Herr presents the Rhein/Neckar regional group. In addition, Heiko Müller from the Weser/Ems regional group and Volker Rügheimer from the Nordhessen regional group provide insight into their work. The three dedicated speakers report on a variety of events and projects—and look forward to answering questions from the audience.

In 2019, the Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) published the study “A male domain?! Opportunities for and with women in logistics.” It showed that although logistics is more open to women than is often assumed, leadership positions remain predominantly male. Women in the industry often face structural barriers, such as unequal distribution of family responsibilities, lack of visibility, and stereotypes. At the same time, the results clearly show that diversity and equal opportunities play a central role in the future viability of the industry.
With our interactive workshop “Partnership for the future: Diversity in logistics,” Anna Schmidt and Thomas Zink build on these findings and look ahead: How can women and men work together to shape the logistics industry of tomorrow? What opportunities does diversity open up – and where do we stand today?
Men and women are equally welcome to attend this workshop; registration is not required.

This session focuses on our regional groups, the diverse volunteer work, and all the people who make our network so special.
Martina Weihing, BVL board member, warmly welcomes the guests and introduces a special occasion: Managing Director Christoph Meyer presents Nicolai Hastedt as a new member of the BVL management team.
We want to highlight the valuable work of our volunteers in the regional groups and provide insights into the approximately 200 events per year and the annual regional group management meeting, where we work together to further develop the association's work.
To conclude, we cordially invite everyone to engage in conversation, exchange ideas, and make new contacts.
 

BVL Supply Chain CX connects professionals, logistics enthusiasts, young talents, and many more people who together form the supply chain community. And what else is needed besides good content, an expo, intensive discussions, and exchanges during the day? Celebrating together! 

The entire supply chain community is invited to celebrate together, engage in informal and relaxed conversations with other participants, speakers, and exhibitors, and end the second CX day on a high note. The CX Party is the perfect place to recharge your batteries in a relaxed environment, deepen contacts, be visible, and have a good time. With delicious food, refreshing drinks, rousing karaoke sessions, and exciting live acts, the best conditions are in place to deepen personal relationships in a unique way and be part of the community. 

The BVL invites all CX participants to this special mix of networking, entertainment with special acts, and a great atmosphere to celebrate the community and our shared enthusiasm for supply chains and logistics. 

A great start to the day—and to networking: Students and Young Professionals are warmly invited to get to know the BVL.

Katja Wiedemann, Relationship Management, BVL will show you the advantages the network offers, especially for young logistics professionals, and will introduce the mentoring program. Here you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with experienced logistics professionals: Whether you are just starting your career, planning your next career steps, or have technical questions – mentoring will support you on your way.

What does that look like in practice? Two participants: Sebastian Wondrak, student, and Karen Klement, mentor, as well as Leonie Remter, young professional, and Ralf Zempel, mentor, will report personally on their experiences and provide exciting insights into the course of their mentoring.

Jona Endelmann and Jonas Tiggemann from the BVL Young Professionals Network invite you to a tour of the Expo grounds. The meeting point is the “BVL Community Hub” in the BaCXstage, where there will be a short welcome and a round of introductions. After a group photo, you can look forward to an exciting tour that provides an overview of the Expo and the world of logistics. Of course, there will also be a few interesting BVL & network stories to share. We will finish back at the BVL Community Hub, where you can continue networking over refreshments.
